Friday, August 8, 2008 Today is the start of the Beijing Olympics and tommorow is national day! Wow, this week was really eventful! We had the common test, rugby semi-finals, hockey finals and national day celebration. Today, we were entertained by St.John's Ambulance Brigade, NCC, BB and the NPCC during morning assembly. Although the leader made a mistake(walking a few steps to the side then back...), I think it was overall a good performance. The guest-of-honour seemed quite impressed too. The band also played the national anthem and Belinda Charkes seemed like the only person singing throughout the whole anthem. She really sounded like an opera singer! Okay, so after that we went back to class to collect our national day gift from the school. It looked okay, but when i tested it, i found that you needed to push the fan to get it going and both the fan and light doesn't work at the same time! Next, we went around the school. I went to the hall as I heard Jeffery Ou and Mr muthu were going to fight but it was fake. So, I heard to the uppercourt and saw puay imm. She said she was selling stuff for "fund-raising" but I knew she just wanted to make more money for pasamalam clothes as she did not make enough money at night! The price was like this: Bear - $5 Giraffe - $15 Agar agar - 50 cents Ikan bilis and peanuts - 50 cents Butterfly - 50 cents Prostitute service - 1 hour for $2.50 2 hour for $4.50
okay, i was joking 'bout the prostitute thing, but seriously, $5 for a small bear?? And the agar-agar had bananas in them(ewwww) and nobody wanted to buy them. I bought 2 packets of ikan bilis for a dollar and it was okay, but too oily. okay, that sums up what happened today.
